Forbes magazine ranks Virginia #5 on its annual Best States for Business list, which measures six broad categories for businesses: costs, labor supply, regulatory environment, current economic climate, growth prospects, and quality of life. Virginia earned top marks because of its relatively low amount of regulation, robust incentive offerings, and government policies that are conducive to business.
