1. Wash your windows on an overcast day (when you apply cleanser in direct sunlight, it can leave streaks). Use vertical strokes on one side of a window and horizontal ones on the other.
2. Clean the stained spaces between your bathroom tile by mixing ¾ cup household chlorine bleach with 1 gallon water. Apply with a stiff brush and scrub one small area at a time. Let sit for 20 minutes, then scrub and rinse.
3. Wax or seal kitchen floors using a combination wash-and-wax floor cleaner. For wood floors, apply a wood cleaner and either liquid or paste polish.
4. Hose off and air-dry indoor and outdoor mats. Vacuum indoor mats on both sides.
5. Remove dust and dirt from ceiling fixtures, such as fans and air-conditioner vents, with a cloth and vacuum with soft nozzle attachment. Polish ceiling lights by sponging with an all-purpose cleaner.
6. Toss drapes, curtains, and throw pillows in the dryer for 15 minute on the “air-only” cycle.
7. Clean your refrigerator’s condenser coil with a long-handled bottlebrush and vacuum cleaner with hose attachment.
8. De-clutter your closets by tossing any clothing you haven’t worn in the past year.
9. Wipe down your kitchen cabinets and pantry shelves. Clean baseboards using a Magic Eraser.
