As a native Washingtonian with unmatched market knowledge and local resources, Carolyn Sappenfield provides real estate guidance you can trust. Her excellence stems from not only her years of experience and talent for problem solving, but also her patience, generosity and the lifelong client relationships she develops. Born and raised in Bethesda, Carolyn graduated from The American University with a B.A. in Education. After teaching elementary school for five years, Carolyn transitioned into real estate in 2004 and found her true calling. Her love for the business and dedication to her clients’ interests quickly made her one of the region’s top producing agents, and she is currently ranked in the top 1% of all agents nationwide. Carolyn and her team are proud supporters of several nonprofit organizations in our community, including Children’s Miracle Network, St. Jude’s Research Hospital, JUST TRYAN IT, Bike to the Beach, and KIND.

Isabella Schnider, Sales Agent

Isabella joined the Carolyn Homes team in August 2016 after working for two years as a market analyst for Smith Schnider, a boutique real estate firm. Like Carolyn, Isabella is a native Washingtonian. After graduating from Fairfield University in 2012, Isabella worked at a New York investment firm for two years before returning to D.C. and transitioning into real estate. Isabella employs her extensive knowledge of the Washington, D.C. area and current market trends to assist both buyers and sellers in making savvy real estate decisions.

Jacqueline Febles, Marketing & Operations Manager, Sales Agent

Jacqueline is a lifelong Washingtonian and graduated from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business. Jacqueline oversees the team’s listings and buyer contracts to ensure that every client has a successful and stress-free experience from the initial consultation to the closing table. In addition to her role as Marketing & Operations Manager, she is a bilingual sales agent, offering services in both English and Spanish.

Laura Gill, Social Media & Events Manager

Laura has lived coast to coast, from Buffalo to Southern California. After she and her family experienced the real estate trifecta of buying, selling, and buying again with Carolyn Homes, she was determined to work with such a powerful women-led team. Laura brings her extensive marketing, event planning, and fundraising experience to the team. She studied Communications at Syracuse University and Urban & Public Policy at SUNY Buffalo.

Amanda Hewitt, Business Development Manager, Sales Agent

A lifelong Washingtonian, Amanda began her career in commercial real estate development after graduating from Vanderbilt University in 2004. Amanda then transitioned to independent school development and fundraising, spending eight years as Director of Alumnae at her alma mater, Holton-Arms School, in Bethesda, MD. Returning to her passion of real estate, Amanda brings professional expertise in building relationships, customer service, and marketing/communications to the Carolyn Homes Team. A licensed sales agent and Potomac resident, Amanda has extensive knowledge of the area and enjoys being involved in the local community.

Children's Miracle Network

RE/MAX proudly supports Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and has done so since 1992, donating more than $130 million to help sick and injured kids. Children’s Miracle Network is a non-profit organization that raises funds for 170 hospitals and 17 million children annually in North America. With the help of this organization, these hospitals are able to provide premium care, research facilities and community outreach programs that help millions of children of every age and background. When you work with Carolyn, a portion of her commission will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
